Collagraphs
With Carol Nunan
Saturday and Sunday | Oct 15/16| 10.00 – 16.00 |
A collagraph is a textured surface on cardboard created from a variety
of household materials that are sealed and printed. The range of
textures and colours you can print off a collagraph plate are limitless.
Carol Nunan has years of experience making and printing her own
collagraphs and she will guide you through the process of creating a
plate and printing it in both monochrome and colour. Her demonstrations
will include a wide range of cutting, sticking and spreading
possibilities to achieve both subtle marks and powerful tones in the
finished prints. Carol will demonstrate multi-colour printing that is
both speedy and satisfying. You will also receive individual guidance on
how to construct your image and get the best out of the plate when
printing. Suitable for complete beginners and those who want to progress
their ideas in this medium.
CAROL NUNAN (HNDip Visual Communications (hons.) trained as a graphic
designer at The National College of Art & Design (NCAD),

her work through a number of galleries in the North East.
