Utilising aluminium’s own
unique properties this course steals mark making ideas from monotype,
using resists such as candle wax, lipstick, permanent markers and more
to create painterly images rich in texture and tone.
Etching - Line and Tone on
Copper
with Rebecca Vincent and Carol Nunan
The finest, incisive lines
are possible with copper using the hard resist method. Add a range of
tones from gossamer grey to velvet black using aquatint then print onto
fine quality paper for a truly sophisticated result. Suitable as an
introduction or a continuation of your learning.

REBECCA VINCENT
(BFA (hons) MFA) trained
at the Ruskin School of Art, Oxford University then at Newcastle
University, specialising in printmaking. She continues to make original
prints, exhibiting and selling in various
galleries in the region. She has taught printmaking on adult education
courses for 13 years. She also leads schools and community workshops and
has been a visiting lecturer for fine art degree courses.
CAROL NUNAN (HNDip Visual Communications (hons.) trained as a graphic
designer at The National College of Art & Design (NCAD),
Dublin,
Ireland.
A monotype course with Rebecca became the catalyst for a new career as a
fine artist printmaker. Carol has led many
printmaking workshops for children and adults. She also exhibits and sells
her work through a number of galleries in the North East.
