Drawn and
painted images on acetate and drafting film will be transferred to metal
plates using light. The plates can be printed in layers and in
multi-colour. Select from a wide range of marks and tones – even found
materials like lace and leaves can be used. Artwork on acetate prepared
digitally (of text and photographs) or by photocopying can be exposed but
must be prepared in advance of the class. Rebecca will provide pre-course
guidance.

Over four days you will really get to grips with this fascinating medium
and produce a range of distinctive prints.

REBECCA VINCENT
(BFA (hons) MFA) trained
at the Ruskin School of Art, Oxford University then at Newcastle
University, specialising in printmaking. She continues to make original
prints, exhibiting and selling in various
galleries in the region. She has taught printmaking on adult education
courses for 13 years. She also leads schools and community workshops and
has been a visiting lecturer for fine art degree courses.
CAROL NUNAN (HNDip Visual Communications (hons.) trained as a graphic
designer at The National College of Art & Design (NCAD),
Dublin,
Ireland.
A monotype course with Rebecca became the catalyst for a new career as a
fine artist printmaker. Carol has led many
printmaking workshops for children and adults. She also exhibits and sells
her work through a number of galleries in the North East.
