Supported sessions

SUPPORTED SESSIONS are facilitated studio sessions that allow you to work independently. The facilitator is insured and familiar with studio health & safety. The facilitator’s role is not a teaching one although they might offer advice. They will set up the press to your individual requirements, dispense paper and other materials. No more than 3 people work in the print room at any time. It is essential to book in advance. Sessions can vary from 2 to 5 hours. The cost is £5 per hour. This basic cost includes all your inks, cleaning materials etc. It doesn’t include materials like paper and plates which can be purchased in the studio from the session leader. Supported sessions are for those who have been on a course and want to come back to further their development. They are limited to when studio cover is available, usually Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays.

Specialist printmaking materials

Printmaking materials are available for purchase, everything you need to make etchings (acrylic resist type), photo-etchings, collagraphs, lino-cuts, woodcuts and monotypes.
